Dear Parents and Dancers,

I hope that everyone is staying safe and well. As you probably know, the studio closure needs to be extended as we all do our part to contain the spread of the Co-Vid 19 virus. However, I am totally committed to finishing our dance year and having the students perform in our Recital 2020. In this very unsettling time, it is comforting to maintain as much of a normal routine as possible and it is also important to provide healthy and fun activities for children and adults. In light of this, I hope to provide both for our students by transitioning our dance classes to an online format until we are able to get back in the studio. I am planning on providing your regular weekly class in a pre-recorded format so that you can watch it whenever is best for your schedule. I also plan on having some live stream sessions where the teachers can interact with the students and offer corrections and inspiration.

We are working hard on the technological issues and I will get back to you once the program is in place. It is important that you check your email often for updates and also for passwords and links that will connect you to our dance classes. I will try to make the process as simple and straightforward as I can. I hope to start the online program the week of March 30. In the meantime, I have already prepared recital dance tutorials for the younger children on the Robin McGill School of Dance You Tube channel and I will be sending you the links via email.

The teachers and I are committed to providing the same excellent dance education that you received at the studio. As such, we will be collecting our regular monthly payments for April, May and June. As promised, your April tuition bill was credited for a 2 week closure. Our recital is still scheduled for June 27 but of course I cannot be sure what the future holds. In the event that we need to push the recital back to a later date in the summer, we will continue our classes during the summer up to the new recital date. As I am also aware that many families are experiencing financial difficulties, please know that I will work with you to ensure that every student is able to finish their dance year and perform in the recital. If you are experiencing such difficulties, please send me a private email to

The studio will remain closed at least through April 13. Although the studio was scheduled to be closed for a Spring break from April 14 to the 19th, in view of the forced closure, I will monitor the situation and make adjustments to this date as necessary. I truly appreciate all your support during this challenging time and I look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible.

Dear Parents and Dancers,

After carefully considering the latest information regarding the spread of the coronavirus and with the health and safety of the RMSD teachers, students and their families in mind, I am closing the studio from March 16 through March 29.

Your April tuition bills, which go out on March 23, will have a credit on them for the 2 weeks of missed classes.

Check our Website, Facebook, and Instagram often for updates and also to access fun dance content to keep you moving while you are at home.

Stay healthy and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Welcome to the Robin McGill School of Dance. For over 20 years, our philosophy has been to provide expert dance instruction in a fun and positive environment. Our students are encouraged to reach their personal best, while improving their self-esteem and overall physical fitness.

From the tiniest baby ballerina, to the pre-professional teen, to the recreational adult, we cater to all ages and abilities. Our students are part of our “dance family” and we feel a great responsibility to provide them with a caring and stimulating experience. Many lasting friendships have been started by simply sharing a dance class.

Each year, our students prepare through weekly classes to perform in our much anticipated June recital. They are also invited to dance at local community events throughout the year. For those students who desire a more challenging dance experience, we offer both Junior and Senior Competition Teams which travel throughout the tri-state area competing and attending dance workshops and performances. In addition to our regular dance season, which runs from September to June, we also offer a 6 week summer program, summer dance camps, birthday parties, special events and private lessons.

We love to dance! Let us help your child experience the joy of dance too. Our careful balance of discipline and fun allows us to stimulate your child’s creativity and to create talented happy dancers.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
